Professional (+) (Fixed Term) Time Type: Full time Position Term: 12 Month Position Details: Summary of Duties: The Research Intern will weigh flour and perform flour analyses as directed by their supervisor. They will carry out grain quality measurements as well. These tests involve basic chemistry and biology knowledge. The RI will keep accurate records of tests being performed and will report those records in the proper format as specified by their supervisor. Required Qualifications: • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study or equivalent related field experience performing professional-level work with scientific or clinical research protocols. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. • Experimental and analytical skills; understanding and knowledge of research theory; interviewing experience; excellent organizational and project management skills. • Advanced knowledge of the principles of cereal chemistry. • Ability to understand and relate the significance of the results to the enhancement of wheat quality. • Experience with a standardized cookie, bread, and sponge cake baking experiment.
