Postdoctoral Research Associate Wu Laboratory Available Title(s): 306-NNFACULTY - Postdoctoral Research Associate, 306-YNFACULTY - Postdoctoral Research Associate Business Title: Postdoctoral Research Associate | Wu Laboratory Employee Type: Faculty (+) (Fixed Term) Time Type: Full time Position Term: 12 Month Position Details: Summary of Duties: A postdoctoral fellow position is available in Pharmaceutical Sciences at Washington State University Spokane with Dr. Boyang (Jason) Wu. The research will be focused on molecular/cellular and preclinical studies on 1) elucidating the intrinsic and extrinsic neural impact on lethal disease progression and therapy resistance in prostate cancer, and 2) characterizing the neural niche in immune response and immunotherapy efficacy of prostate cancer. For related work of our laboratory please see the following link: https://pharmacy.wsu.edu/about/directory/wsu-profile/boyang.wu/ Required Qualifications: • Candidates should have an earned Ph.D. degree in Cancer Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology/Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field, with a proven track record of creativity and productivity. • Candidates are expected to be self-motivated and have strong oral/written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: • Previous experience with cancer xenograft mouse models and bioinformatic data mining is highly desired. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
