Summary of Duties:
The Patient Services Representative provides support services in a patient care area such as scheduling patient appointments, triaging patient telephone calls to medical staff, registering patients, providing point-of-sale service admission, maintaining patient records and processing patient charge documents and medical insurance information.
Required Qualifications:
• High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of general office experience or one year of office or customer service experience in a healthcare setting; OR equivalent education/experience.
• Demonstrated experience using MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, Outlook and/or Access.
• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated strong customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of medical terminology.
• Knowledge and use of Electronic Health Records. Documented on-the-job experience in a medical clinic.
• Experience working with or knowledge of the RCW (https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=70.02) and the https://aspe.hhs.gov/reports/health-insurance-portability-accountability-act-1996, pertaining to the release of protected health information.

Monthly Salary:
$3,317 to $4,410 | Range 38 (Steps A-M) | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with https://https:/app.leg.wa.gov/WAC/default.aspx?cite=357-28.
