Emerson Principal Industrial Engineer in Pulau Pinang, Malaysia
Job Summary:
Principal Industrial Engineer who responsible for production / warehouse layout (short term + long term strategic space planning), define DL requirement based on S&OP demand and support NPI start-up. This candidate will own project assign to he / she including performing market survey to bring in the best solution or industry practice. This candidate will be IE representative for MES implementation.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Own production layout planning. Develop long term strategic space planning and short-term execution plan
Establish layout plan to support NPI start-up or product transfer
Coordinate and work closely with Operation Team and Facilities Team to implement re-layout activities without any safety issue
Budgetary: Work out budgetary for quarterly and annual planning
Lead and drive project implementation including performing market survey to come out the best solution.
Coach junior IE to resolve issues related to layout or budgetary. Provide mentorship on capacity analysis or headcount analysis to junior IE.
Introduce industry practice related to layout, capacity and headcount planning for efficiency improvement.
Driving productivity / efficiency improvement to optimize the space utilization or headcount efficiency.
Work with counterpart at Hungary to drive standardization in term of practice and business process.
Expand the scope to as IE representative to support MES implementation.
Who You Are:
Strong project management skills
Excellent quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong familiarity in time motion study, value stream mapping & Process mapping
Experience working in global environment will add advantage.
For This Role, You Will Need:
- Min. 6-8 years of related experience in layout, capacity and headcount planning
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering discipline from a recognized university
