CITY OF PUEBLO SY- Temp Sports Staff in Pueblo, Colorado
POSITION: Temp Sports Staff
DUTIES: * Responsible for implementation of all activities at the site assigned by the supervisor to include, but not limited to enforcing rules, regulations, and proper sports guideline, while engaging and interacting with participants and public, and creating a fun structured environment. * Ensure accurate attendance records are kept current at all times * Perform score keeping and bookkeeping for youth and adult sport programs * Carry out weekly program activities * Establish a positive rapport with all participants in program * Attend all staff meetings and training sessions, including any state-mandated courses * Responsible for maintaining equipment and supplies * Maintains cleanliness of equipment and facilities * Operations, services, and activities of an assigned program area * Provide direction to program participants and communicate with participants, spectators, and parent/guardians * Interpret and apply rules and regulations in assigned program areas * Perform related duties and responsibilities as required
REQUIREMENTS: * Must be at least 16 years of age by the date of hire
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: * Knowledge of recreation, sports, and youth/teen programming * Recommend programs that meet community needs * Ensure program compliance with mandated City policies, procedures, rules, and regulations * Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted during work
PREFERRED SKILLS: * Previous experience working with teens or youth is preferred
WAGE: $14.42-$14.80 hourly
SHIFTS: * Part-time * Temporary/Seasonal * The individuals must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule.
