POSITION: Quality Control SupervisorDUTIES: The Quality Control Supervisor monitors the production process inreal-time and works with operations to ensure products manufactured meetscustomer requirements. This position audits inspection and testingactivities develops special inspections for suspected non-compliantproducts, support operations during production startups or helps withdelivering new inspection training or written practices.* Perform daily process and product audits (during first piecevalidation, shift change, process upsets, etc.) to ensure conformancewith documented work procedures. Document audit results* Monitor QC results specific to the manufacturing lines each day andcommunicate significant issues to QA and Operations. Specify improvementopportunities* Review product manufactured during "upset" conditions. Provideassistance "bracketing" product during process upsets and ensure productmade during these occasions meet customer requirements* Evaluate or arrange for timely inspections/evaluations of products onHOLD for quality reasons to ensure products that is prime can continue withthe manufacturing process* Attend Admin Cell meetings and provide feedback/updates on significantproduct quality or inspection issues* Participate as required when product and process trials are being performedon your shift. Work with the operations team to collect theappropriate product samples and perform the necessary product inspections* Inspect product returned to the facility associated with customer claims.* Complete reports for QA* Work with quality management to develop/improve written inspectionprocedures, as needed.* Provide leadership in developing and maintaining safe work operating andinspection practices* Participate in the development of training literature for qualityinspectors* Lead inspection training for operations team as required* As required, participate in internal and external audit functionsREQUIREMENTS:* 1-5 years of experience in QA or operations within an industrialmanufacturing environmentOTHER REQUIREMENTS:* Knowledge of metals-based manufacturing processes, including chemical andmechanical testing procedures* Experience working with interdepartmental teams at all levels of managementto accomplish goals* Must understand ISO quality standards and Quality Management Systems (QMS).* Strong interpersonal skills; ability to interact with individuals atvarious levels within the organization* Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities and work independentlywith minimal supervision* Strong attention to detail, close observation, and concentration skills* Mechanical aptitude, good manual dexterity, and good hand-eye coordination* Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; ability tolearn other software applications* Excellent communication skills, ability to effectively present projectresults to management teamPREFERRED SKILLS* Bachelor's degree is preferred* Knowledge of quality control planning for new products is a plus*All applicants must be legally able to work in the USA without sponsorship.WAGE: $62,800 - 72,220/AnnuallySHIFTS: Discuss with EmployerJOB SITE: Pueblo CoBENEFITS: Full company benefit package to include medical, dental,vision, defined pension plan, profit sharing, and 401K matching.APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: If you meet the minimum requirements for thisposition, please click on How to Apply' to view application information.You must be registered with Connecting Colorado to view the applicationinformation (registration is available at no cost).
