Colorado State University Pueblo has been awarded a three-year grant from the U.S. Department of Justice Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) to Reduce Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault, and Stalking on Campus Program. The purpose of the grant is to establish a comprehensive, coordinated, trauma-informed, and culturally relevant program to prevent and respond to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking on campus.

Description of Job

We're on the lookout for a dynamic individual to join the CSU Pueblo team as our OVW Project Director! Imagine this: You'll be the mastermind behind spearheading grant initiatives by bringing together internal and external campus partners to collaborate on developing holistic and comprehensive victim services on campus. You will get the opportunity to design and plan engaging events, help coordinate training initiatives, and work with a diverse group of professionals who all have a shared focus, supporting survivors on our campus.

This is a .75 FTE (30 hours/week), three-year, grant-funded position with the possibility of grant continuation and position renewal. This position will receive guidance from the OVW Taskforce.

Primary Duties:

Cultivate and sustain collaborative relationships with the campus community and campus partners

  • Develop and maintain communication/information sharing procedures for continuous informed operations.

  • Organize and conduct yearly CCRT training.

  • Work with supervisor and other campus partners to develop, facilitate, and maintain the institution’s CCRT.

  • Serve as a point of contact between campus and the DOJ OVW.

  • Work with the CCRT to develop, implement, and monitor project-specific strategic plans.

Grant Compliance

  • Participate in required trainings (virtual and in-person) as required by the grant program.

  • Oversee daily operations of the program while adhering to DOJ OVW Training Guiding Principles.

  • Ensure project deliverables and award documents are completed with detailed documentation on deadlines assigned by the OVW.

  • Maintain relevant data and submit regular reporting on grant status while maintaining program requirements.

Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution in social work, human services, public health, criminal justice, or related field

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking

  • 1-3 years of related experience including working with multidisciplinary teams, grants, or subject matter work related to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking

  • Experience in a position that required managing budgetary matters, deadlines, and complex material.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of research and best practices as they relate to prevention and/or response for domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault and stalking specifically in a college setting

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills

  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate and lead training sessions for varying audience types and sizes

  • Experience in project management

  • Experience working with diverse groups

Salary Range

$35,568-$42,000
