Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Create and maintain mechanical products, equipment, and systems designed to meet customer requirements. Apply knowledge of engineering principles. Assist engineering staff in developing the structural design of products, using computer-assisted design/drafting software. Maintains a working knowledge of the company\'s manufacturing operations to understand the strengths and weaknesses of design concepts from the point of view of manufacturability within the company. Take responsibility for assigned projects from inception to completion. Communicate and cooperate with all other departments in the organization Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline Previous work experience as a mechanical engineer or relevant experience is preferred Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) General knowledge of CAD software, SolidWorks is preferred Ability to apply mechanical engineering standards and techniques In-depth knowledge of sound engineering theory and concepts. Ability to innovate and demonstrate creative thinking Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills Strong mechanical/machine design skills Must have good communication and interpersonal skills Prefer Familiarity with a manufacturing environment
