Web Designer

The BYU Mechanical Engineering Department is seeking a web developer/administrator to help design and maintain the website for the Mechanical Engineering.

 

What you'll do in this position:

  • Work with student web developers to create industry standard web designs/pages, providing an excellent user experience.
  • Develop utilizing mainly CSS, HTML, and PHP on a Drupal website with symphony PHP frameworks. 
  • Support a team of student web developers (in the Mechanical Engineering Department) to train them in Drupal functionality and bring them up-to-speed in developing new features, creating needed code, and maintaining a web-based Drupal database system on the Capstone website. 
  • Maintain and update various views, modules, web pages, custom features, or themes, etc. and works with appropriate templates. 

     

What qualifies you for this role:

Required

  • A firm commitment to the mission of BYU 
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and content management systems

*Preferred: *

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, working knowledge of Drupal software
