Intermountain Healthcare Landscape Services Coordinator in Provo, Utah

Job Description:

The Landscape Services Coordinator is responsible to assist the Supervisor with the day-to-day operations of the Landscape Services team at the assigned facility. Ensures grounds and landscaped areas are safe, attractive and functional for the enhancement of our community image.


This position may exist at any Intermountain facility regardless of size.

Job Essentials

  1. Maintains inventory and assists in purchasing of necessary grounds materials and supplies. Under the direction of the Supervisor, coordinates related contract services and ensures the quality of work performed.

  2. Identifies and coordinates team member assignments according to landscape or seasonal needs

  3. Assists with the recruitment, selection, development and evaluation of team members.

  4. Oversees and contributes to landscape janitorial jobs to ensure litter-free drives, parking, accesses and walkways. May include snow removal or other seasonal and weather related tasks.

  5. Coordinates facility's turf maintenance program to include mowing, edging, string trimming, and clean-up. Performs minor repair or adjustments to landscaping equipment (e.g. lubricating, changing oil, changing blades or spark plugs, cleaning, etc.)

  6. Coordinates facility's garden and trees maintenance program including pruning, staking, trimming and weed control. Excavates and prepares planting beds and proper planting techniques.

  7. Coordinates facility's irrigation and water conservation program to include operating and maintaining irrigation system and sprinklers.

  8. Designs, creates and orchestrates plantings, beds, seasonal flower enhancements and garden renovations. Responsible for site lighting, water feature support, pond and pump maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license.

  • Demonstrated ability to pass a UDOT physical.

  • Three years experience in landscape design and maintenance

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of area plant culture, fertilizer, herbicides and water utilization.

  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to provide clear direction to staff regarding assignments, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree, obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.

  • Utah pesticide applicator's license.

  • Greenhouse experience and expertise.

  • Salary: $16.48 + depending on experience
