BYUradio Distribution Manager

Job Summary

BYUradio is looking for a Radio Distribution Manager to create and implement effective strategies for distributing audio content on linear and digital platforms. This position will also oversee asset delivery across platforms, ensuring timely delivery and quality control. This role involves collaborating with show teams, as well as coordinating with other departments to enhance our digital footprint. Additionally, you'll collaborate with producers to create promotional audio content and provide analytics for informed decision-making.

 

Essential Functions

Delivery of programming to BYUradio internal digital distribution platforms

  • Oversee integration of BYUradio productions into digital distribution platforms, including the BYUradio website and apps.
  • Manage BYUradio website program content.

Delivery of content (radio shows and podcasts) to external partners (podcast platforms, Sirius XM, national & global radio sites (via PRX, FTP, etc.))

  • Ensure that all files and feeds that leave BYUradio meet our high level of quality control standards and are delivered to external partners in a timely manner and, when applicable, ensure that licensing and copyright reports are provided to external partners.
  • Manage distribution of BYUradio content to affiliate distribution platforms (Media Shuttle, etc.). 
  • Manage podcast distributions to external partners (iTunes, Spotify, etc.).
  • Manage syndication distributions to national and global radio sites (PRX, FTP site, etc.). 

*Provide BI team with on-platform and off-platform data for BI analytics reports *

  • Create a link to analytics channels for various platforms (podcast, syndication, etc.) for the BI team to access audience and syndication data. 

*Work with the digital media team to ensure bug fixes. *

*Other Duties as Assigned *

 

Education/Experience

  • Minimum required:  Bachelor's degree in communications or a related field AND at least two years of experience with digital media management OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred: *Bachelor's degree in communications or a related field AND at least five years of experience with digital media management *OR equivalent combination of education and experience working in digital media.

     

Skills, abilities, knowledge, licenses, certifications:

*Required: *

  • Strategic thinking 
  • High level of interpersonal skills working with management, talent and production teams. 
  • Advanced skills in writing and editing audio content. 
  • Proficient in using common workplace software platforms (Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, etc.) 
  • Basic knowledge and experience in using Adobe Auditions, Pro Tools, WideOrbit or similar audio production software. 
  • Attention to detail to troubleshoot and prevent mistakes on audio distribution platforms. 
  • Creative writing and radio production skills.

*Preferred: *

  • Post-production mixing and editing skills. 
  • Advanced skills using Adobe Audition. 
  • Advanced skills and knowledge of radio automation systems. 
  • Ability to think creatively without being directed. 
  • Ability to anticipate radio production needs and act proactively. 
  • Post-production mixing and editing skills. 
  • Skilled in Adobe Photoshop.
  • Exper ience in voiceover.

Approximate Starting Salary: $61,500 - $80,000
