Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Tax Assistant in Providence, Rhode Island. The selected individual will be an integral part of our team, primarily focusing on tasks such as organizing and logging client documents, utilizing firm software for various tasks, and providing backup reception support.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately organize and log client documents that arrive at the Providence office

• Operate firm software, including high-speed scanner, tracking software, and document manager software

• Download client electronic documents from our secure electronic delivery system

• Manage incoming phone calls, sort mail, and set up conference rooms when needed

• Provide support to the receptionist during their lunch hour or in their absence

• Perform general scanning and copying duties as required

• Utilize customer service skills to handle client inquiries and issues

• Apply data entry skills to maintain accurate records and databases. Requirements • Possess strong customer service skills to effectively handle client inquiries and concerns.

• Proficient in data entry tasks, ensuring accurate and timely input of relevant tax information.

• Comprehensive understanding of deductible items to provide optimal tax preparation and advice.

• Experience in scanning and digitizing documents for easy reference and record-keeping.
