Randstad is seeking Quality Control Inspectors for areas in Rhode Island. The candidate should be experienced with: first piece, in-process, and final inspection processes. The candidate should be versed with using various measuring devices such as: calipers, verniers, micrometers, force gauges, microscopes, and VMM. The candidate must have the experience with recording and documentation of inspection results which include: Inspection plans, first piece inspection, retained samples, and Non-conforming procedures. Responsibilities

• Provide inspection services in one or more inspection functions (i.e. incoming, in-process and final inspection).

• Perform all inspection activities related to purchased or manufactured materials, subcomponents, assemblies and packaging.

• Determine the acceptability of purchased or manufactured materials, subcomponents, assemblies and packaging.

• Accurately report the findings using the current systems (this may include retention of samples, preparing paper reports and/or using software to report labor and data).

• Using standard handheld and benchtop measurement equipment such as: micrometers, calibers, verniers, weight, microscopes, gauges to ensure the compliance to both internal and customer dimensional requirements.

• Work with other departments to ensure awareness and communication of product and material issues.

• Promote, enhance, and improve the Quality Management System.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment

• standing for 6 hours at one time
