We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Medical Billing Clerk to join a healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of medical billing processes, including insurance claim filing, and accounts receivable management. As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health of the practice by efficiently processing billing transactions, addressing patient billing inquiries, and resolving any billing discrepancies.

salary: $22.99 - $25 per hour

shift: First

work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM

education: High School

Responsibilities

Maintain current knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding medical billing practices.

• Act as a resource to practice management and providers.

• Maintain knowledge of all applications including eClinical Works, Epic, Microsoft Word, Excel and on-line payer verifications/claims status.

• Submissions of claims to third party payers; ensure clean claim rates with submissions

. • Identify trends within the Accounts Receivable

• Verifies completeness and accuracy of all claims prior to submission.

• Timely follow up on insurance claim denials, exceptions or exclusions
