Humana Market VP, Provider Engagement- NE Region in Providence, Rhode Island

The Market VP, Provider Engagement, manages the development, operations, and results of provider outcomes. The Market VP requires an in-depth understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across segments and the enterprise

The Market VP, Provider Engagement, establishes long-range goals, objectives, and plans, monitors financial and operational performance, and coordinates activities of senior leaders and their respective functions with a focus on Provider Engagement, outcomes/results, Quality/Stars, and Medicare Risk Adjustment. Represents the health plan externally to partner providers and builds provider relationships.

The Market VP, Provider Engagement is responsible for the overall success of Provider outcomes/results, Stars, and Risk Adjustment strategy and performance within a designated region as well as overall provider relationships, member experience, provider experience market growth, and operational excellence.

This position reports to the Northeast Region President and must currently reside in one of the following states: ME, MA, NH, VT, RI, NY, NJ, CT, MD, DE, PA or DC. Position has 55 + direct and indirect reports

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 8 plus years of performance management and partnerships

  • 5 plus years leadership experience in the healthcare industry

  • Extensive leadership experience in the healthcare industry with demonstrated success in leading and developing teams.

  • Strong knowledge and experience of Provider engagement, value-based arrangements, Quality/Stars, and Medicare Risk Adjustment.

  • Ability to closely partner, build strong relationships and work effectively with corporate leadership teams and programs.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of health plan finance and the compensation arrangements between health plans and providers

  • Knowledge of risk arrangements and ability to influence these arrangements.

  • Proven track record of driving performance improvement

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

  • Ability to travel as needed

  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$164,700 - $226,600 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
