Job Title: Project Engineer II

Job Description

Create plans, designs, and customer solutions for assigned products and projects. Engage in design using AutoCAD and Visio for pipe schematics and process piping. Perform numerous calculations and spec reviews for project engineering. Collaborate with project managers and designers on custom ETO products, with project durations ranging from 2-12 months from submittal to commissioning and installation. Develop and maintain process instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) based on customer specifications. Assist designers in creating general arrangement and production/assembly drawings. Work closely with sales teams and customers to understand system requirements, and with strategic suppliers to select appropriate system components. Provide regular updates on design status, drawings, BOMs, and purchased equipment to project management. Support production personnel during fabrication and conduct onsite field checkouts and commissioning of equipment, with an expectation of two trips per year. Occasionally assist the Proposals Team with quotation support and perform other duties as assigned by management.

Hard Skills

• Recent experience in engineering, design, fabrication, and commissioning of mechanical equipment in relevant industries

• Familiarity with industrial codes such as ASME B31.3, ASME Section VIII Division 1, and NFPA 52/59A

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks CAD modeling software

• Experience in mass manufacturing facilities

Soft Skills

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple departments

• Capability to manage multiple projects and client orders
