Robert Half Director of Finance in Princeton, Texas

Description

We are looking for a Director of Finance to join our team in Princeton, Texas. This role involves compiling and researching data for financial reports, directing audit report preparations, and administering investment and debt management programs. You will also be responsible for scheduling, assigning, and evaluating work performed by the Finance and Utility Billing Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

• Compile and research data for the completion of the annual financial report and annual budget.

• Prepare annual worksheets, spreadsheets, and financial statements for auditors in a timely manner.

• Work directly with auditors for annual audit report preparations.

• Review bank account and other general ledger account reconciliations monthly for all funds.

• Maintain the city's fixed asset system and monitor Grant Accounts.

• Reconcile Capital Projects and ensure all financial functions, recordkeeping, and reporting are performed timely and accurately.

• Administer investment and debt management programs for all city funds.

• Schedule, assign, direct, and evaluate work performed by the Finance and the Utility Billing Supervisor.

• Stay current with trends and changes and safeguard confidential information.

• Work effectively with others as part of a team to ensure efficient operations and enhanced productivity.

Requirements • Proven proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Solid understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning

• Ability to manage various Accounting Functions

• Extensive experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Proven track record in managing Annual Budget

• Strong background in Auditing

• Proficiency in Budget Processes

• Experience in Budgeting and Forecasting

• Demonstrated leadership skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Strong analytical and strategic planning skills

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

• Relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA) would be advantageous

• Proven experience as a Director of Finance or similar role

• Legal compliance and risk management proficiency

• Advanced knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models

• Proficiency in MS Office suite and financial management software

• Ethical behavior when dealing with sensitive financial information

• High level of business acumen and organizational abilities

• Willingness to make executive decisions and provide financial advice

• Ability to analyze financial data and provide feasible recommendations.
