Position Summary
The GPS (Global Product Development and Supply) Analytics team is an organization within the BMS Business Insights and Technology (BI&T) Function focused on partnering with the BMS GPS group to answer key business questions that will drive important decisions using data and advanced analytics. These questions span a broad range of areas from Global Supply Chain, through Manufacturing Operations, Quality and Business Strategy.
The Sr Manager, Demand Forecasting & Supply Chain Analytics is an individual contributor position and will play a leading role in establishing analytics capabilities for the Supply Chain organization, GPS and the broader BI&T organization. This person will enable the Supply Chain organization to make informed business decisions using all phases of the analytical life cycle (Descriptive, Predictive and Prescriptive).

Key Responsibilities
Supporting GSC Priority Business Decisions
Proactively develops and maintains an understanding of GSC priorities, critical issues, and value levers, in close collaboration with GSC teams.
Collaborates directly with stakeholders to develop the team's analytical book of work that addresses priorities.
Leads and delivers on multiple analytics projects, from charter to completion.
Meets or exceeds agreed upon analytics deliverables and timing.
Communicates complex analysis in a manner appropriate for facilitating GSC decisions.
Supports a culture of analytics and fact-based decision making within GSC, in partnership with stakeholders.
Building and Enhancing Analytics Capabilities
Works closely with the rest of our team to understand our existing tools and processes and avoids building new tools or data models when existing solutions already exist.
Collaborates with subject matter experts from across the business to design, establish and maintain foundational data pipelines, models and business facing reports and dashboards.
Designs, develops, and implements a broad array of analytics that solve complex problems in a computationally efficient and statistically valid manner.
Makes complex analytical solutions simple enough for GSC teams to understand and use and drives uptake to engrain analytics solutions into standard business processes.
Proactively identifies opportunities to further apply automation, analytics and data solutions and works with stakeholders and the team to prioritize projects with the biggest potential benefit to the business.
Builds partnerships and manages the process for deploying predictive and prescriptive models to operations.
Manages planned and ad hoc analytics requests, ensuring consistent quality and timeliness in delivery to business stakeholders.
Supports best practice adoption across the team, applying appropriate levels of technical capability, standardization, automation, and functional area expertise.
Leads standardization of analytics and process methodologies within GPS Analytics, to ensure a scalable analytics stack.
Proactively make recommendations to GPS Analytics leadership on new technology or technical development processes.
Managing the Demand Planning Business Process
Manages the sales unit plan for commercial, Tenders, Clinical Trials, Free goods and samples using data analysis, advanced statistical methodologies, and ML across all products.
Work with markets to ensure that the appropriate internal and external market data and intelligence are integrated into the final demand plan. Incorporate impacts of future events based on objective, data-driven insights.
Lead Demand Consensus Meetings with Product Managers, Finance, Market Contacts and BI&T in-market teams. Provide minutes to cross-functional team to include demand plan changes, drivers of change, and future R&Os.
Optimize demand plan to appropriately manage risk based on market / supply chain dynamics.
Support the development of global demand consolidation and drive improvements in the demand forecasting process.
Support launch readiness status for new products and line extensions by providing sales forecast, distribution channel, and Market strategies.
Support Market S&OP Meeting as part of the S&OP process through a regular update on Market's demand changes and trends.
Document the Gaps between Finance and Forecast and share them with Market Management and Product Managers through Demand Consensus Meeting minutes.
Monitor forecast KPIs: Forecast Accuracy, Forecast Bias, CoV and Volatility and investigates significant deviations from Target and establish plans for improvement.
Set and maintain relevant master data and Models in our internal systems related to forecasting according to Product Life Cycle stage and the Market expectations.
Develops strong relationships and communication processes within the organization including In-market BI&T, Finance, Marketing and Global Supply Chain.
Strengthening Key Partnerships
Collaborates closely with business stakeholders and enabling functions to understand and execute analytics projects to achieve GSC objectives.
Works proactively with BI&T Data Enablement to ensure data likely to be needed for future analytics is available in the Enterprise Data Lake (EDL)
Effectively partners and collaborates with other analytics team members to learn best practices and technologies and support delivering a consistent analytics engagement model to stakeholders.
Proactively identifies existing capabilities from across the GPS analytics ecosystem that can address GSC needs with minimal additional development.
Proactively shares existing analytical tools with GSC stakeholders.
Mentors and coaches junior team members.
Requirements

University degree in analytical, engineering, operations research or scientific disciplines.
3+ more years of professional experience working in a data heavy or analytics role, including significant direct development experience with Bachelor's degree required. MS, PhD preferred. Less years of experience will be considered for PhD degree holders
Significant hands-on experience with the following elements of our technology stack is required: advanced SQL; Python or R implemented at production scale.
Experience building demand forecasting models is highly desired.
Experience working in a demand planning role is a significant plus.
Hands-on experience with the following elements of our technology stack is desired: Domino, AWS, GitHub, dbt, Tableau.
Significant hands-on experience with code version control a significant plus.
Experience with cloud-based ELT pipelines a significant plus.
Experience using agile methodology and associated tools such as JIRA a plus.
Experience building user-centric visualizations and dashboards a significant plus (preference for Tableau).
Experience building and deploying predictive models (MLOps) a significant plus.
Experience building simulation and optimization models a significant plus.
Experience building AI models a plus.
Experience with major GPS applications (including SAP, Oracle, LIMS, Infinity, MES) a plus.
Biopharma experience a plus.
Experience with biotech product development, manufacturing operations, supply chain, and quality controls a plus.
The starting compensation for this job in Seattle is a range from $147,080-$178,200 , plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility).
The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed.
Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
