We are seeking a Senior Child Welfare Lead for an anticipated contract to act as Associate Director and lead efforts supporting improvements in child welfare systems. This role is contingent on HHS contract award to Mathematica.

Duties of the position:

  • Engage with clients remotely and on-site to understand the challenges they face and work collaboratively with them to develop innovative technical assistance and program improvement solutions
  • Direct multi-disciplinary project teams and oversee all aspects of high-quality project delivery
  • Design and implement project and performance management processes with staff, subcontractors and consultants, assessing and managing project risk
  • Disseminate project findings and other information to policymakers and other professional audiences

Position Requirements:

  • Ph.D., Masters, or equivalent work experience in social work, psychology, public policy, sociology, education, or related field
  • Ten or more years’ experience in child welfare with expertise in one or more of the following areas: child welfare practice, training, and administration; strategic consulting; research and evaluation; data analysis and continuous quality improvement; change management, with at least 5 of those years leading and directing teams and interacting directly with program leaders.
  • Experience leading efforts that support organizational and/or program improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large expert multi-disciplinary teams
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including an ability to translate evidence for program and policy audiences
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-disciplinary teams

This position offers an anticipated annual base salary range of $140,000-$200,000. This position is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
