Kindle Energy Management Company LLC Financial Analyst - Energy Trading in Princeton, New Jersey

Kindle Energy Management Company LLC is seeking candidates for the position of Financial Analyst - Energy Trading in Princeton, NJ to manage all reporting and financial analysis for a portfolio and support decision making around value of the managed portfolio. Position requires a Master’s degree in Quantitative Finance and 12 months of progressively responsible experience as a Financial Analyst or Quantitative Finance Researcher. Prior experience must include SQL, Python, GAAP, energy sector financial modelling and energy market pricing.DUTIES: Manage all reporting and financial analysis for a portfolio and support decision making around value of the managed portfolio. Interact and communicate directly with management team atassigned power plants within the US, internal commercial traders, and research industry trends to compile data for historical, current and future market reviews. Compile, analyze, prepare and present the key market components that may impact the value of managed assets; maintain energy commodity pricing databases across numerous markets, including PJM, ERCOT, NYISO, NE-ISO and CAISO; develop, maintain, and review complex financial models to support decision making for the existing portfolio of managed assets and future investments; perform financial analyses, project evaluations, and due diligence to make recommendations in support of plant optimization, recovery plans and other major projects and capital investment and revenue enhancement proposals; gather, analyze, prepare, and summarize recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, future requirements, and operating forecasts; prepare and review detailed forecasts of income statements, cash flows and balance sheets; identify and remedy variances for senior management; ensure that all assumptions and modeling are appropriate and reasonable; conduct economic research as required with respect to power and natural gas energy markets; prepare board-quality presentations and documentation. Support selection, implementation and ongoing usage of new software systems as related to commercial and operational modeling. Support and implement data visualization efforts integrating multiple internal and external data sources coordinating development and implementation efforts with a third party developer. Create dashboards and other tools to effectively communicate results real time with management team. Lead annual operating budgeting process and efforts, in parallel efforts with Plant Management teams and present for final approvals to senior management. As a senior member of the finance team, participate in the interview and selection process of hiring new team members.
