MILWAUKEE VALVE COMPANY, LLC Tool Room CNC Programmer in PRAIRIE DU SAC, Wisconsin
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Summary The Toolroom CNC Programmer/Machinist primary responsibilities will be to perform programming, setup, and operation of various CNC mills, lathes, and cutter grinders. They will be expected to carry out those responsibilities with minimal assistance. The Toolroom CNC Programmer/Machinist will have the ability to determine work holding, tool selection, and grinding wheel selection. The individual will assist with the mentoring of others in machining and programming and have good organizational, math, communication, and computer skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities to which competency will be measured include the following: Ability to use measuring devices such as micrometer, caliper, and height gauge. Use CAD/CAM software to model cutting and grinding paths and program machines accordingly. Strong background on speeds and feeds required. Be responsive to the short-term needs of the shop to keep the NC machines running at 100% efficiency. Works with tool makers, tool grinders, and outside department leads to ensure communication of information on produced parts. Monitor and verify the accuracy of each job\'s initial set-up and outcome. Perform quality assurance tests to ensure product meets design specifications. Assume responsibility of a lead person when needed. Must have strong attention to detail.
