We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to provide technical leadership and drive implementation of client instrumentation and data collection frameworks. We are working to maximize the value of telemetry - to understand customer usage, enable rapid detection and debugging of issues across the Teams organization, and drive strategic investment to make customers successful.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain engineering infrastructure, tools and services that powers the CI/CD/feature flighting for Microsoft Teams across different clients/platforms.

  • Champion best practices, tools and processes for a data-driven, quality-focused release of Microsoft Teams as frequently as possible to our customers.

  • Build tools/bots/AI to improve developer productivity, contribute ideas to continuously improve our systems and drive actionable feedback on code and product quality.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop overall product vision as well as strategies on how to realize the vision by identifying technical challenges & proposing solutions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • experience with JavaScript frameworks like React.

  • Experience operationalizing and supporting services.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cloud and services experience, with Azure cloud experience.

  • Knowledge and experience around AI.

  • Ability to communicate technical details clearly across organizational boundaries.

  • Data driven, customer focused, and organized.

  • Self-motivated with a strong drive for reaching across teams and organizations to make progress collaboratively.
