We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager responsible for leading and directing concurrent client projects classified as standard or complex. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex projects, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to lead a large team. The primary responsibility of the Senior Project Manager is to interface with all project stakeholders to take projects from original concept through to final implementation, including handing over to Operations. The Senior PM will be involved in larger-scale programs and is responsible for delivery across multiple business areas, geographies, and technologies. This role may also involve managing projects and programs within more complex/partnership accounts and collaborating with senior members involved in program delivery at the client site.

What you'll be doing

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Leadership: Oversee solution delivery and ensure all project milestones and deliverables are met. Engage with stakeholders to deliver projects from original concept through final implementation

• Client Management: Act as the primary point of contact for the client, managing expectations and maintaining a strong relationship.

• Negotiation: Improve negotiation capabilities to handle change requests, timeline adjustments, and other client demands effectively.

• Team Management: Lead and motivate a project team, ensuring high performance and collaboration.

• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

• Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, issues, and outcomes.

• Quality Assurance: Ensure the project meets the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.

Knowledge and Attributes:

• Advanced project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and execute projects from initiation to completion.

• Ability to establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients.

• Ability to manage customer satisfaction, commitment, and expectations to high service levels and manage escalations adequately.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent team-building skills and ability to work in high-pressure environments.

• Advanced ability to manage urgent and complex tasks simultaneously.

• Advanced business acumen and commercial skills.

• Passionate, with strong initiative, self-driven, and a commitment to succeed.

• Decisive with good attention to detail.

• Excellent competency in project change management.

• Extensive knowledge of the industry, domain, or technology related to the client’s project.

• Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and address issues that may arise during project implementation.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project management software, and other relevant tools (such as Jira).

• Languages: Czech (or Slovak) at the level of a native speaker , proficiency in English.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business and/or project management or related field.

• Project management certification(s) such as Prince 2 Practitioner, PMP, IPMA B, or similar.

• ITIL certification is beneficial.

Required Experience:

• 7-10 years of project management experience, preferably in the IT or telecommunications sector, on the supplier side.

• Advanced demonstrated project/program management experience.

• Advanced client engagement experience.

• Advanced understanding of the project/program life cycle.

• Advanced competency in project/program change management.

• Experience with both classic waterfall project management and agile approaches.

• Experience with software development projects is nice to have.
