Job Description Summary

System Engineering is a cross-functional engineering discipline centered on an approach, mindset, and process. All activities that consider both the business Configuration Management is part of system engineering and provides a framework for the controlled introduction and update of a product’s approved design definition and sits at the top of a hierarchy of a set of processes and procedures that ensure correct execution and incorporation.

Configuration Management participates in creation of alternate system design concepts, performance of design trade studies, selection and implementation of the best designs and verification that the design is properly integrated and executed. Process that proceeds from concept to production to operation.

Job Description

✈️ Roles and Responsibilities

  • Work as a member of the Configuration Management team within the Engineering Department for the turboprop engine product line.

  • Provide configuration support to designers as part of the elaboration phase of design changes for development and certified engines.

  • Review submitted design changes to ensure conformance to configuration standards and processes.

  • Provide configuration expertise to others within the department and company.

  • Represent the configuration discipline during internal and external audits.

  • Cooperate with external design suppliers to ensure transfer of configuration information.

  • Help to improve processes and system capabilities related to configuration identification and control.

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the configuration discipline. Use prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute for the department.

✈️ Required Qualifications

  • University degree.

  • Experience within aviation or similar regulated industry.

  • Advanced English and Czech.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan and execute programs. Established project management skills. Experience within the Aviation or similarly regulated industry.
