Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage and report on specific RTR activities on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis

  • Manage and report on specific controls activities including support of internal and external audit activities

  • Execute RTR projects over processes to streamline activity and deliver best practices for RTR COE

  • Ability to communicate and influence key internal and external business partners to including BPO partners

  • Manages accounting and controls for specific Carrier RTR COE activities

  • Ensure accurate and timely financial results, monthly closing and compliance activities

  • Confirms procedures and controls are in alignment with US GAAP reporting requirements and corporate policies

  • Manages and reports on activities to include critical RTR activities around balance sheet and reconciliations

Role Purpose:

  • This is an excellent opportunity to evaluate and execute specific accounting activities to ensure they are in alignment with US GAAP and Corporate policies with a clear focus on financial reporting and internal control activities. In addition, this role will engage with internal and external Business Partners, Segment Controllership team members and others on critical projects and processes to streamline and support RTR activities. You will be responsible for managing and executing specific RTR activities and processes to ensure quality results and reporting. As a key business partner, you will support accounting activities, manage targeted BPO sub-teams, and have responsibility for oversight of specific SOX results.Support specific RTR COE functions and streamline processes while ensuring strong and uniform controls. This role engages on specific activities, partners with Carrier COE RTR team members to ensure delivery of quality and timely financial reporting with a strong focus on internal control environment. The COE structure and model is a critical part of Carrier transformation with a clear focus on analysis and decisioning the overall taxonomy for the RTR function and ownership between Carrier and a BPO structure. This role is a critical support for the RTR COE.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, economics, or finance

  • A minimum of several years of experience in accounting Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Degree in an Accounting discipline or MBACertified Public Accountant or equivalent preferred or the ability and eligibility to obtain certification
