Senior Counsel CPS Corporate Office Dublin, OH As a full time, exempt Senior Counsel with CPS Solutions, LLC's Legal team, you will work under the direction of the General Counsel to support legal issues around CPS's business operations. General duties will include investigations, research, contract drafting, negotiations, advising on health law regulatory issues, litigation management, corporate law filings, preparation of routine legal documents, and communications with CPS team members and external third parties. This position works at least 40 hours per week, typically Monday-Friday days including evenings and weekends as needed. Starting salary range: $177,000 annually, plus bonus Additionalduties include: Overseethe junior legal staff of the legal team on all corporate matters. The Senior Attorney also takes a leading role, alongside the General Counsel, in determining the legal direction and strategy of the business. Providerecommendations for addressing critical legal and policy issues in order to ensure that the business's legal and overall objectives are met; provides advice to departmental leaders across the business on applicable laws and the interpretation of legal documents in a manner that avails a practical legal approach while properly managing risks to the business. Researchcomplex legal issues and relevant topics relating to CPS business operations. Investigates facts and applicable law and searches pertinent sources. Administers complex legal department activities. Organizeand maintainfiles on a variety of legal subjects, with projects pertaining to corporate law matters, contracts/transactional matters, and other legal matters assigned. Draftcomplex legal documents; communicate and interact with CPS business team members, external third parties and General Counsel on projects, under general counsel supervision. Resolvemore complex legal questions through the application of applicable law and corporate policy on projects. Performother related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Juris Doctor degree and at least eight (8) years of legal and/or compliance experience in a corporate law department or law firm. Working with legal department staff members in handling various drafting tasks, inclusive of the preparation and drafting of memoranda, litigation summaries and analyses. Negotiating and drafting various complex contracts and development of standard terms and conditions for business's clients and vendors. Experience with federal and state antikickback and fraud abuse matters. Development and implementation of legal compliance policies and procedures. Providing counsel to colleagues and in developing appropriate relationships as to the legal department with other departments across the business as well as externally with state authorities and government officials. Providing legal advice to cross-functional team leaders through all corporate transactions. Identifying legal issues within the business and providing legal analyses and possible legal solutions. Preferred Qualifications: Evaluating information to determine compliance with standards, laws and regulations and corporate policy. Health Law experience. Analyzing information, agreements or corporate law matters. Time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates. Analytical skills to independently review, draft, negotiate and prepare documents. Building and maintaining relationships within a team. Project management (i.e. planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives).
