Interested in working with a cutting edge technology company? Working in a variety of tasks and supporting our Poway, CA facility we are looking for a CNC Set-Up Technician. Our Poway facility is a small group working in additive manufacturing, conventional manufacturing and 3D Printing.

Stratasys Direct Manufacturing is looking for you to join our team as a CNC Technician II at our Poway, CA facility. In this role you will understand our customers’ requirements and work hands-on with metal and plastic materials. If you like to work with power and hand tools to create tangible success in the form of engineered parts, this may be a good role for you. Some of the responsibilities of this role are:

  • Review set up sheet and work order to understand requirements

  • Operate tools according to instructions, specifications and standard charts

  • Interact with CNC milling machines to indicate datum surfaces and assign cutters

  • Operate CNC milling machines using keypads and commands like manual jobs, cutter offsets, starting and pausing programs

  • Observe each machine to verify proper performance

As a part of Stratasys Direct Manufacturing, this position requires access to information and/or technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (or, green card holder), protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.


  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 1+ year experience as machine operator

  • Ability to follow written instructions, diagrams and blueprints


  • Technical / Vocational certificate or degree

  • Thorough understanding of mechanics and other properties of machines.
