Engineering Assistant Requisition ID 2023-10751 Location US-WA-Silverdale Seat Location Bangor - EB Corp Trade Engineering Shift 1st Security Clearance Required Secret Number of Openings 1 Overview General Dynamics Electric Boat, the nation's premier designer and builder of nuclear submarines, is seeking an Engineering Assistant. In this entry level position, D705 Engineering Assistants provide support for maintenance and alteration activities for submarines at Bangor, WA and Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, concentrating on the development and updating of Selected Record Drawings using good drawing skills and a familiarity with AutoCAD, as well as verification of shipboard conditions in support of Selected Record Drawings and Configuration Management/ILS products. The Engineering Assistant will provide support to the Engineering team as they support Maintenance and Modernization activities on submarines and Bangor, WA and the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. This is an entry level position located at our Bangor, Washington site. An Engineering degree is not required. (Eligibility guidelines apply). Qualifications Required: High School diploma or equivalent. Internal candidates must be from organizations outside of Operations (Casiano/Gabriel). Preferred: Demonstrable drawing skills and fundamentals with blueprints and drawings. Familiarity with AutoCAD or other computer-based design software.
