Club SciKidz MD Summer Camp Lead Instructor-- Weeks of 7/22 & 7/29 Only in Potomac, Maryland
Club SciKidz MD offers science and technology summer camps for children ages 4-15 years in Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Howard, and Montgomery counties. We are hiring a Lead Instructor to teach and lead two camps at our location in Potomac. This position is only for two weeks, the weeks of July 22 and July 29. We are looking for a certified teacher with at least one year of teaching experience to teach and oversee two of our camps at a satellite campus. There will be two camps, up to 20 campers per camp, and a total of two staff per camp. You will be responsible for teaching one of the camps (with an assistant), help support and oversee the other camp, and serve as our point person and on site contact at that location.
Our day camps run Monday-Friday, and staff are scheduled by the week. Staff hours are approximately 8:15am-4:00pm. Pay is between $675-725 per week. Exact salary is dependent on your experience working with children, your year in college, and if you have any special experience in science and/or technology.
Who are we looking for?
Want to help campers have a great summer as they learn science & technology
Certified teacher with at least a year of teaching experience
Able to manage a group of up to four staff (a total of two camps, including yours)
. Organized and a self starter
Are reliable & hard working; have reliable transportation
Must be able to work the weeks of July 22 & July 29, Monday-Friday
Daily responsibilities include:
Supervising campers
. Overseeing both Club SciKidz camp at the location
. Supporting other staff as needed and working as a team
Implementing provided lessons (all lessons, materials & supplies are provided)
Keeping kids engaged, while maintaining a safe environment
Have fun with what you are doing
Being on time every day for your required shifts (you are scheduled by the week, so you work a whole week (Monday-Friday) for the weeks you are scheduled
