Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma RN - Community Health (Temporary) in Poteau, Oklahoma
This is a regular, full-time position with Community Health nursing at the Rubin White Clinic in Poteau | Schedule will the temporary, M-F 8-4:30

Job Purpose or Objective(s): Provides preventive health services through clinic programs and community projects to promote health and wellness.
Primary Tasks:
Coordinate and provide immunization services (including Covid-19 Vaccinations) for children and adults in-clinic, schools, and communities.
Ensure the provision of care according to program policies and standing orders, and local, state, and federal regulations.
Develop innovative approaches to increase immunization rates among all age groups
Provide education and community health services to individuals, families, community groups, rural schools and refer clients to appropriate resources.
Schedule and apply fluoride varnish in clinic and community setting.
Provide education for maternal/newborn patients upon receiving consult.
Provide preventive health screenings and educations at community events
Collaborate and establish partnerships with Tribal Health Representatives, Local, State and Federal Health Systems.
Maintain and manage inventory for fleet vehicles and mobile clinics.
Continue professional growth and development by pursuing education, participating in professional committees and work groups and contributing to a work environment where continual improvements in practice are pursued.
Perform all other duties as may be assigned.
Responsible for Community Health vaccine management and ensuing all vaccines are stored, handled, transported, and inventoried correctly.
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
MINIMUM
Associate Degree in Nursing
Oklahoma RN license
CPR Certified
Good computer skills
Good organizational skills
Good written and oral communication skills
Ability to occasionally work after hour and weekend assignments.
3 years prior nursing experience
