A day in the life of a EIFS Applicator/Plasterer can look like: Applies Exterior Insulated Finish System to walls, ceilings, and partitions of buildings, to produce finished surface by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Cuts foam
- Installs the foam insulation to the substrate
- Mix base and finishing coats to desired consistency
- Erects and tears down scaffolds
- Rasp/Sand foam to create smooth surface
- Applies base coat to foam
- Applies fiberglass mesh by embedding the mesh with base coat
- Applies finish coat
Spreads base and finish coat with trowel and/or float to attain uniform thickness
