Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for identifying and analyzing customer Quality and Technical requirements. The Quality Engineer (QE) provides internal customers with the information required to ship hardware and associated documentation that meets the needs of our customers.

The QE partners with Customer Service, Program Management, Design Engineering, and Value Stream Support Teams to ensure timely and accurate flow down of customer requirements and effective integration into TDGO documentation and processes.

Key team tasks include:

· Primary interface with customer quality counterparts for open orders and any warranty claims.

· Review of new quotations and purchase orders to ensure customer quality requirements are met and flowed appropriately to internal manufacturing, suppliers, and other departments as necessary.

· Exceptions to quotes or purchase orders are appropriately noted and incorporated into contracts.

· Support early stages of manufacturing planning such as Production Readiness Reviews.

Other specific skills required:

Education and Experience:

· Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or similar technical discipline preferred.

· 3+ years of experience in Quality, Engineering, or program management in a design & build manufacturing environment.

· Product development / new product introduction experience

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ERP, and Web based applications and tools required.

· Experience interpreting technical drawings/specifications.

· Experience with Customer contract review.

· Oil and Gas industry experience preferred.

· Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Manager, or Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must have working knowledge of ISO 9001-2014 or equivalent Quality standard

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, taking facts and information and assembling them into a logical report with well supported conclusions and summaries.

• Good organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple and changing priorities.

• Ability to work independently.

Physical Demands:

• Light physical effort equal to occasional movement of product or documentation

• Regularly required to sit, stand, or walk throughout the facility.

Work Environment:

• This position requires periods of working behind a desk, performing tasks on computer.

• Significant periods of standing or walking throughout the facility to interface with other employees.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Safety Glasses, Safety Shoes - required areas

• Additional protection may be required while performing inspection near machines.

This employee is required to perform other administrative duties as requested, directed or assigned.
