Are you a compassionate and dedicated Veterinary Technician looking to make a meaningful impact? Port City Veterinary Referral Hospital is seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician to be an integral part of our flourishing Medical Oncology Department.

You will play a key role in providing top-notch care to our patients with responsibilities that will include, (but are not limited to):
Appointment intake and patient history
Documentation of histories, treatments, and diagnostics using veterinary software (EzyVet)
Mastery of EzyVet and Smart Flow
Handling department voicemail, client callbacks, and documentation
Proficient phlebotomy and catheterization skills
Assisting with exams, treatments, and diagnostics (chemotherapy treatments, patient exams, etc.)
Obtaining and processing diagnostic samples (blood, urine, fine needle aspirates)
Performing medical calculations and administration
Digital radiography (positioning and technique), assisting with CT scans and ultrasounds
Monitoring and recovering sedated procedures
Assisting with hospitalized patient treatments and ensuring excellent patient care
Reviewing estimates with clients
Filling patient medications
Qualifications:
LVMT, CVT, LVT, or RVT licensure desired but not required
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a veterinary hospital setting preferred
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
Reasonable understanding of veterinary medicine and basic disease processes
Anticipated Schedule:
Four 10-hour shifts
Possible weekend shift requirement
