We process more than 11 million tons of waste annually, converting 6.7 million tons of waste into clean, renewable energy that powers 340,000 homes. We recycle more than 234,000 tons of plastic, paper, and metals from the waste stream.
The Business Analyst position will support the Post-Collection Waste Sales and Marketing group to meet strategic and analytical deadlines. In addition, they will be responsible for supporting market planning, disposal analysis, CRM, mapping, finance and business development initiatives. This individual contributor role is aligned to WIN Waste Innovations' key strategic objective of optimizing waste mix and price and focuses on supporting the supply of municipal solid waste, construction and demolition waste, industrial waste and special waste into its network of Waste to Energy, Transfer Station and Landfill facilities. Candidates must have high attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting all deadlines. Expert level experience with Microsoft Excel required, and preference given to candidates with experience in waste management, especially with post-collections sales and operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Own and manage detailed customer lists and customer relationship management (CRM) systems with attention to details on all post-collections customer accounts, contracts, credit status, expiration dates, and all other key customer attributes
Manage corporate accounts receivable (AR) governance procedures for setting and updating customer rates in back office and scale systems, and ensuring CRM and customer list systems stay in synch at all times
Prepare and analyze monthly variance reports for the operating facilities and corporate headquarter departments
Develop and maintain detailed forecasting and management tools that integrate with the financial plans to ensure that the business always has a clear understanding of its current and near term performance
Develop analytical reporting to help generate timely and comprehensive financial plans on price, volume and mix of materials into each facility for the VP, Fuel Sourcing, Senior Leadership Team and Board
Support the development of detailed market plans to inform all price, volume, infrastructure, and acquisition decisions
Build annual budgets in accordance with other functional groups and corporate goals with extremely detailed customer information
Complete complex financial analyses, pricing studies, and scenario modeling to determine competitive positioning and growth opportunities in different markets. Undertake comprehensive modelling to support the development of short and long term strategic and tactical plans for the different markets that WIN Waste Innovations operate within
Understand contractual agreements and their relationships with business profitability
Support the preparation of board and lender meeting materials
Support senior management with timely, accurate information for effective decision making
Create and maintain electronic and printed maps illustrating company assets, market intelligence and corporate mergers and acquisition efforts
Education/Experience
Required:
College degree in either Finance, Economics, Business, or Engineering required, with 5+ years of financial experience
Preference given to candidates with experience in waste management, especially with post-collection sales and operations

Expert level in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and vlookups
Proficient in other Microsoft Office products (i.e. PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to effectively communicate across all functional disciplines, including sales, FP&A, accounting, IT, and engineering
Experience with visual map tools (i.e., Maptitude, Map Point)
Preferred:
Experience working with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System (i.e., Salesforce.com)
Demonstrates strong presentation skills; assists in developing polished presentations for executive leadership
