We are offering a contract-to-hire employment opportunity for a Network Engineer with our client based in Portland, Tennessee. This role is crucial in maintaining and improving our network infrastructure within the IT industry. The selected candidate will be responsible for various tasks, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and security protocol development, among others.

Responsibilities:

• Installation and maintenance of network infrastructure including firewalls, hubs, routers, switches, fiber, and cables.

• Troubleshooting network infrastructure and system software to ensure optimal performance.

• Developing and implementing security protocols to protect organizational data.

• Responding to emergency computer and network requests promptly.

• Maintaining detailed work records and network documentation for future reference.

• Performing network updates, upgrades, and configurations to keep the system updated.

• Conducting diagnostics and tests to identify and resolve network issues.

• Scheduling regular network maintenance checks to prevent unforeseen issues.

• Monitoring and maintaining network servers, including Database Servers and Microsoft Server.

• Handling tasks related to SonicWall, Fortinet Firewalls, FortiGate, Checkpoint Firewall, and Aruba.

  Requirements

• Proficient in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Checkpoint, and Configuration Management

• Advanced understanding of Computer Hardware, Datacenter operations and Deployments

• Experience with Fortinet Firewalls, Database Servers and HP Servers

• Knowledge of Network servers, Microsoft Server, Microsoft Server OS, and Microsoft SQL Server

• Familiarity with FortiGate, SonicWall, Dell SonicWALL, Aruba, and Checkpoint Firewall

• Skilled in Firewall administration, Firewall Configuration, Firewall deployment, and Firewall security

• Proficient in using Firewall Technologies, Routers, Switch Routers, and Router Switches

• Knowledge of Router Configuration, Wireless Routers, Switches and Configuration engineering

• Experience with Configuration Management Tools, Configuration knowledge, and Windows configuration

• Familiarity with Fiber, Fiber Optic Networks, Diagnostic procedures, and Hp Diagnostics

• Proficiency in Networks, Networking, Network-layer, Network upgrades, and Network Troubleshooting

• Knowledge of Network Technologies, Network System, Network Switches, Network Services, Network Routing

• Familiarity with Network Protocols and Network provisioning

• Experience with Network Programming is a plus.
