Shoals Technology Group Lab Technician in Portland, Tennessee

Lab Technician – Shoals Technologies Group Location : Portland, TN Inventing Simple® isn’t just a slogan to us, it’s a way of life. Essential Tasks and Responsibilities: · Perform verification testing on wires, enclosures, and components as directed by an engineer. · Perform certification testing in accordance with applicable standards (UL, NEC, etc). · Assemble enclosures under the direction of an engineer. · Identify and purchase laboratory equipment as required. · Write test reports and file them electronically. · Ensure that all laboratory equipment is calibrated. · Coordinate sourcing activities in design changes (ECN) and New Product Development (NPD) · Assemble enclosures and components as necessary - wiring enclosures for testing, connectors, fuses, etc. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Other: · 2 -4 years in a laboratory environment experience preferred · Computer literate, knowledge of Datalogger Pro, or other laboratory software for monitoring testing. · Knowledge of basic electricity and circuitry. · Ability to read drawings and electrical schematics. · Ability to weld, braze and solder preferred. · 2 year technical or associates degree in mechanical or electrical technology preferred. · Experience can be substituted for education.
