WE ARE LOOKING FOR a Restaurant Server/Greeter

Job Summary:

We are excited to share that Hyatt Regency Portland has an opportunity for people who love helping people. Please join our outlets team as a restaurant server/greeter.

The Restaurant Server/Greeter will be working as a server for three (3) shifts per week and as a greeter for two (2) shifts per week. The candidate should have experience in guest service and/or restaurant service, along with a spirit to serve.

The hourly rate for serving shifts is $15.95/hour plus gratuities, and the hourly rate for greeter shifts is $21.41/hour (effective February 1, 2025).

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

· Greet and seat guests in a friendly and courteous manner, providing recommendations and answering questions about menu items.

· Take food and beverage orders accurately and promptly, entering them into the POS system and ensuring special requests are communicated to the kitchen staff.

· Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of tables, chairs, and dining areas, preparing tables for incoming guests.

· Collaborate with kitchen and restaurant staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.

· Serve food and drinks to guests in a timely manner, checking back to ensure satisfaction and promptly addressing any issues or concerns.

· Anticipate guests' needs and provide attentive service throughout their dining experience, including refilling beverages, clearing plates, and additional items.

· Process payments accurately, handling cash and credit card transactions, and reconcile receipts at the end of each shift.

· Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, chairs, and dining areas, resetting tables for the next guests.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

· Previous experience as a server in a restaurant or similar establishment preferred.

· Availability for breakfast shifts and flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and outgoing personality.

· Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

· Knowledge of food and beverage items, including ingredients and preparation methods.
