Penetrant Line Operator

Job Description

• The Penetrant Line Operator will be responsible for chemically cleaning castings prior to inspection and reworking using alkaline baths, cold etch baths, and/or hot water washes. The role involves accurately preparing, operating, and maintaining tanks used for chemical cleaning and using a hoist to lift and move castings.

Responsibilities

• Chemically clean castings using alkaline baths, cold etch baths, and/or hot water washes.

• Accurately prepare, operate, and maintain chemical cleaning tanks.

• Use a hoist to lift and move castings.

Essential Skills

• Experience in machine operation, general labor, power tools, production, assembly, general production, manufacturing industry, and metal fabrication.

• Mechanically inclined.

• Ability to carefully read and follow directions.

• Adherence to safety policies.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing, construction, or industrial experience is a plus.

• Candidates must pass an aptitude test.

Work Environment

• The work is conducted within a foundry facility and is exposed to noise, dust, temperature extremes, and fiberglass insulation material. The initial training is on the day shift from Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, and could transition to a day, swing, or graveyard shift.

• This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00
