Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Office Clerk to support a busy healthcare facility on a contract-basis in Portland. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced medical environment and enjoys handling administrative tasks that keep operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and maintain patient records with accuracy and confidentiality.

• Scan, file, and organize medical documents, ensuring compliance with regulations.

• Enter and update patient information in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

• Sort, distribute, and manage incoming and outgoing mail related to medical records.

• Assist with scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information as needed.

• Communicate with medical staff and patients professionally and efficiently.

• Shred and dispose of outdated or confidential documents per office policies.

  Requirements

• Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting required. .

• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with EMR systems is a plus.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
