Explore the potential of your pharmacy experience in an elevated role. We are recruiting a Contracts & Regulatory Specialist to join our team of health care professionals. The Contracts & Regulatory Specialist p rovides support to the Corporate Counsel in managing the pharmacy’s legal needs, and supports all matters relating to contracts, including but not limited to, drafting and preparing agreements under the direction of the Corporate Counsel, tracking, file organization, development of internal contracting procedures and best practices, and performing contract audits. This role maintains pharmacy Medicare and Medicaid enrollments by submitting information updates and revalidations and monitoring for compliance with state and federal regulations. This position also tracks pharmacy payer network participation and coordinates recredentialing requirements and prepares documentation and completes related legal and regulatory tasks as assigned. Job type: Full-time Pay range: $66,002.98 -$82,522.55 annually, depending on experience. Three to five years’ experience in the legal, regulatory, or healthcare field strongly preferred. Knowledge of healthcare regulations and related compliance practices, including Medicare and Medicaid regulations. Experience with Medicare and Medicaid administrative requirements. Knowledge of payer contracting processes. Experience in the development, maintenance, and usage of contract management systems. Ability to prepare contract templates and draft contract amendments. Excellent language, writing, and proofreading skills. Strong technical, organizational, and analytical skills with ability to problem solve. Exceptional, careful, and thorough attention to detail. Ability to readily grasp new concepts, systems, and methods. Ability to work independently and as an integral part of a team. Excellent time management skills with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently. Ability to work well under pressure with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities. Ability to compose and edit a range of technical, procedural, and communications documents and other written materials. Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact professionally and effectively with all employees and external parties. Ability to deal tactfully with diverse people, situations, and viewpoints. Proficient verbal and written communication skills. Technical abilities in PC software, especially Adobe and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Ability to consistently work with confidential and proprietary materials and strictly maintain confidentiality. Scheduling flexibility and ability to work overtime. Contact with Others : The specialty pharmacy Contracts & Regulatory Specialist will directly interact with other Ardon employees, as well as external business partners, vendors, outside agencies, and customers. Primary Functions : Supports and works closely with the Corporate Counsel to ensure the position’s responsibilities are accomplished with precision, thoroughness, and consistency. Accurately maintains a master contracts list and conducts contract audits consistent with applicable accreditation requirements and internal business needs. Effectively communicates contract procedural requirements to the appropriate internal stakeholders and ensures contract expirations and renewals are handled as directed. Accurately creates or prepares contracts, documents, and forms for Corporate Counsel and other stakeholder review. Strives to identify areas of improvement in the contract management system and works to implement process solutions. Prepares and submits payer network recredentialling documents and maintains recredentialling records in accordance with internal policies and procedures. Maintains current network participation lists, facilitates internal review of network participation invitations, and collaborates with internal insurance and financial stakeholders as needed. Performs tasks related to government program participation, including but not limited to, portal maintenance, disclosure and license updates, revalidations, and responding to audits and surveys. Monitors for regulatory compliance related to government program participation and escalates issues to the Corporate Counsel as necessary. Assists with annual professional and general liability insurance renewal applications, notifications, and related insurance tasks. Coordinates with all internal departments and affiliate companies as needed to accomplish responsibilities. Works independently and as a team member, as applicable, to fulfill the functions and objectives of the position. Answers telephone calls and emails in a professional and timely manner. Demonstrates the behavioral and technical competencies necessary to effectively complete job responsibilities. Performs responsibilities as directed, achieving desired results within expected time frames with a high degree of quality and professionalism. Establishes and maintains a positive and productive work relationship with all staff and external stakeholders. Complies with the company’s Human Resources policies, Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and all department policies and procedures, including protecting confidential company, employee, and customer information; attending work punctually and regularly; and adhering to good safety practices in all activities. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties and special projects as assigned. Performs or supports administrative tasks as needed. Job Conditions : Work is performed in an office environment, with extensive PC work in seated position. Work flow may fluctuate, and business needs may require work in excess of 40 hours per week, including work outside of standard workweek. Proficiency in standard workplace software and/or information management applications. Prior experience working in a pharmacy or healthcare setting. Ability to navigate computer applications. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of pharmacy benefit investigation, prior authorization support, and patient financial assistance connection. Prior experience working with physicians, nurses, or other healthcare professionals.
