A new permanent role has become available with one of Peter Danielson at Robert Half's client seeking talented and eager Bookkeepers. The Bookkeeper will direct cash applications, data entry, and full cycle A/P. You will also be responsible for accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliation, and month-end closing. Apply immediately! This role is a great opportunity for self-driven and organized professionals. This Bookkeeper role will be located in the Portland, Oregon area and will be a permanent position.

Your responsibilities

• Enter Accounts Payable

• Verify monthly accounting close

• Administrate Accounts Receivable

• Ready monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents

• Arrange cash flow projections, as needed

• Guide monthly accounting close

• Arrange sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments

• Organize subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement

• Supplementary assignments when necessary

• Competent in credit card management and reconciliation

• Uphold a general ledger

Requirements - Quickbooks Online experience preferred

• Expertise in Monthly Financial Statements

• Solid understanding of month end closings

• Monthly Journal Entries experience

• Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities

  • Remarkable accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred

• Strong analytical skills with ability to implement solutions and vendor management experience with good organizational skills

• Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines

  • 3+ years of related experience- Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills

• Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment

• Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills

• Proven analytical skills - defining problems, collecting relevant data, drawing valid conclusions, and recommending improvement/corrective actions

• Excellent attention to detail
