Description
Goodwill is hiring a Youth Career Advisor to work with youth/young adults ages 16-24 with various barriers to employment. The Youth Career Advisor will embed at a local partner agency, Learning Works, to support clients enrolled in YouthBuild programming as part of a team-based approach.
Clients will be working on attaining diploma or equivalency, work-readiness and soft skills development, construction skills and other career pathways in small cohorts. The Youth Career Advisor will help with all aspects of the programming, with a particular focus on helping with work-readiness and soft skills development, helping individuals link to local career-related internships, volunteer opportunities, or employment, and transitions beyond the cohort YouthBuild programming to work or further training.
Successful candidates will enjoy working with youth/young adults with diverse backgrounds, team settings, both 1-1 and small group client work, and advocating with local employers for opportunities.

Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalency, in combination with either:- Experience supporting clients with barriers to employment- Experience developing business relationships
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to travel as required to worksites, training locations, partner agencies, and client access points.
A criminal background check that meets Agency standards
Preferred Qualifications
BA/BS in business, human services, human relations, or related fields.
