SHELTER ATTENDANTS, RIVERSIDE SHELTER\ \ Health and Human Services Department Social Services Division Riverside Shelter : Full-Time, 37.5 hours/week, Project positions

The City of Portland\'s Social Services Division is seeking candidates to work at our homeless shelter located at 166 Riverside Industrial Parkway in Portland. These positions will assist new Mainers who are experiencing homelessness.

Duties include:

• Welcoming and registering homeless individuals in need of shelter.
• Inputting required data into an online data system.
• Monitoring dorms, common areas and shelter grounds.
• Frequent cleaning of dorms, common areas, bathrooms and grounds will be routine work in these positions.
• Candidates hired into these positions will also be involved in crisis intervention and triage for 179 guests per night.
• While working in these positions, you will be a part of a work rotation to multiple stations in the facility each shift.
• Shelter Attendants are also responsible for set up and take down of dormitories, including moving of mats, cots, chairs, tables, full laundry bags and other items as required.
• A positive attitude with exceptional patience and customer service skills required.

We are hiring for the following full time schedules:

• Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 7am-8pm
• Thursday, Saturday, Sunday 7am-8pm
• Saturday, Sunday, Monday 7pm-8am
• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 7pm-8am
• Friday, Saturday, Sunday 7pm-8am

Salary:

CEBA Union position Grade 9 - Pay rate starting at \$19.54 hourly. Additionally, a \$2.00 shift differential is paid for all weekend hours and nights after 7PM.
