Description

We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Recruiter in the professional services industry, located in Portland, Maine. The role involves a blend of remote and in-office work and is centered around talent acquisition through various mediums, including email and phone screens.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting initial screening of applicants through emails and phone calls.

• Utilizing platforms such as Careerbuilder for sourcing potential candidates.

• Conducting background checks to ensure compliance and safety in the hiring process.

• Collaborating with a team of 10, including HR, to meet recruitment goals.

• Administering and managing inbound telephone calls related to recruitment.

• Working within the Eastern Time Zone, adhering to the work schedule of Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 5 pm.

• Utilizing strong communication skills to interact with potential candidates and team members.

• Managing and overseeing benefit functions as part of the recruitment process.

• Monitoring and updating the progress and status of candidates in the recruitment pipeline.

• Maintaining a professional approach in all aspects of the recruitment process.

Requirements

• Must have experience in the Professional Services industry, ideally in a recruitment role

• Ability to conduct thorough background checks in compliance with local laws and regulations

• Understanding of Benefit Functions and ability to communicate these effectively to potential hires

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for this role

• Comfortable handling inbound telephone calls, including initial candidate screening and interview scheduling

• Demonstrable ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding recruitment targets

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion
