Stantec Consulting Services is looking for an Aviation Planner to join our Portland, ME office focusing on aviation planning, obstruction analyses, and land and avigation easement acquisition services.

Stantec is hiring an Aviation Planner with a relevant bachelor’s degree (such as Aviation Management, Airport Administration/, Airport Operations, and/or Airline Management/Operations) to join our Aviation Team in our Portland, Maine Office. We are seeking a candidate who is a dynamic, motivated individual that has problem solving and communication skills, a strong work ethic and a solid understand of the aviation industry and airport consulting. We desire to have someone who is interested in challenging assignments, advancement potential, travel, and a cooperative work environment.

What Will You Be Doing?

Responsibilities would include assisting with airport planning studies, obstruction analyses, and land/avigation easement acquisition projects. This position will include preparing technical reports and plans for various planning studies, airport layout plan set development, and land/easement acquisition projects including subconsultant coordination and negotiating with property owners.

Qualifications

What Will You Need to Succeed?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in planning or directly related field

  • 0-5 years of relevant experience

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

  • Strong ability, organization skills, and self-initiative to meet deadlines

  • Ability to solve problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation.

  • Ability to take initiative on tasks and in coordinating with other members of the team.

  • Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn other software systems.

  • AutoCAD experience is preferred

  • Detail oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment

  • Ability to perform assignments and duties with minimal supervision

  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License
