Description We are searching for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in the healthcare industry based in Portland, Maine. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and involves the processing of financial documents and vendor communications.

Responsibilities

• Accurately scan and input invoices and other documents into the system

• Handle account reimbursements in a timely manner

• Verify the accuracy of information processed through the OCR software

• Address payment inquiries and ensure timely follow-ups

• Communicate effectively with vendors regarding payments and inquiries

• Assist in maintaining the smooth flow of invoices through the system

• Utilize Accounts Payable (AP) skills to manage financial records

• Leverage the use of the Lawson and Perceptive software in processing transactions

• Assist team members in managing vendor statements

• Ensure accurate billing statements are issued to customers. Requirements • Proficient in handling Accounts Payable (AP) tasks

• Experience in processing billing statements

• Skilled in scanning documents and maintaining digital records

• Strong numeracy and financial management skills

• Familiarity with accounting software and systems

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Good organizational skills for managing multiple tasks

• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively

• Knowledge of healthcare or NHS industry would be advantageous

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
