DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Maintenance Repairman 1, you will perform maintenance and repair work in the building and maintenance of the Moraine State Park Complex including McConnell's Mill and Moraine State Parks.  This position provides semi-skilled and skilled level work in several trades in the maintenance, repair, and construction of park facilities and equipment.  Some specific duties will involve installing and repairing windows and doors, re-roofing old and new building roofs, rough and finished carpentry throughout park buildings, and masonry and tile work.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Seasonal, full-time employment
• Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch.  Scheduled workdays will vary; you will work 5 days, 37.5 hours weekly.
• This is a 7-day operation, meaning you may be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as workload and emergency situations warrant.
• Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Two years of experience in general maintenance work which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

Necessary Special Requirement:

• You must possess a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.

Other Requirements:
