Location: Portales, NM - San Juan Village Student Housing
Role and Responsibilities: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team at San Juan Village, a vibrant student housing community in Portales, NM. The ideal candidate will ensure the upkeep, maintenance, and overall functionality of our grounds, buildings, and equipment.
Key duties include: Performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the community's pristine condition and functionality. Responding promptly to work orders, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drywall, painting, appliance repair, landscaping, and cleaning needs. Handling after-hours on call maintenance requests when required. Conducting thorough property "Turns" and ensuring all units are ready for new residents. Maintaining grounds, equipment, and buildings in top appearance and working order.
Qualifications and Skills: Proficiency in using hand tools and demonstrated expertise in plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, drywall, painting, and appliance maintenance. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively. Flexibility and adaptability, with a strong focus on teamwork. Self-motivated with a commitment to professional growth and delivering quality results. Willingness to be on call for evenings and weekends, as needed. Physical ability to walk up 3 flights of stairs. Must pass a background check.
