Dan Wood Company  is a premier residential/light commercial service company. We provide service to Kalamazoo, Battle Creek and surrounding areas. We are a one stop shop for Plumbing, Boilers, HVAC, Electrical, Water Conditioning and Water Wells. We have a great team who work well together and take pride in a job well done. We are customer oriented and provide continual training, education and certifications to our tradesmen. We are in need of a n   Administrative Assistant   to assist both office and field staff.

The Big Task

You will promote customer satisfaction by performing a wide variety of clerical duties. Filling out and processing permit applications. Assisting sales team with rebates and warranty completion. Back up our customer service team by converting incoming customer calls into booked service appointments.

Administrative Assistant

The Role

We’re looking for an exceptional Administrative Assistant to help us achieve profitable revenue.

As a n Administrative Assistant , you will work as part of a dynamic and passionate team to ensure desired company growth. You will support various departments by completing spreadsheets, forms an d do whatever is necessary to promote customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • C omplete files, forms and spreadsheets promptly and accurately.

  • Schedule inspections for different municipalities.

  • Respond to customer requests, resolving issues and promoting the brand. 

  • Be professional and establish customer rapport, encouraging repeat business.

  • D eliver call scripts with an authentic cadence; be clear, compelling and personable.

  • Participate in training to boost booked calls.

  • C onvert incoming customer calls into booked service appointments

  • Adhere to the company’s plan for resolving customer complaints quickly and favorably.

  • Maintain and update customer database with complete and accurate information.

    Requirements

  • Proven track record in customer service.

  • IT competent; good typist and proficient with phone systems.

  • Highly organized with exceptional follow-through abilities.

  • Strong verbal and written communications.

  • Ability to build trust and demonstrate empathy.

  • Engaging personality that blends well with a fast-paced, goal-driven environment.
