Catholic Health Services Nursing Asst-PD in Port Jefferson, New York
The Nursing Assistant functions under the supervision of the licensed Registered Nurse and provides basic nursing care to ensure the safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection of our patients. The Nursing Assistant must be able to recognize, obtain, document, and report data to appropriate staff. A High School Diploma or G.E.D is required for this position. Previous CNA experience preferred. Current BLS certification is required, as well as satisfactory completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant Training Course. In lieu of CNA certification, applicants who have recently completed one year of a formal RN program or have previous nursing assistant experience will be considered. * This position will require cross training to our Pediatric Med-Surg/Rehab & Adult Med-Surg Overflow Unit. Candidates must be flexible and open to picking up time/scheduling on either units. The pay for this position ranges from $27.6823 – $27.6823 per hour. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
